What is the Instagram Reels Viewer?
Instagram Reels are short-form vertical videos, usually 15 to 90 seconds long, that can include music, effects, and captions. They appear in the Reels tab of a profile and in Instagram's discovery feed.
IGScope's Reels Viewer lets you enter a public username and browse the most recent public reels. You can watch a preview, read the caption, and download the video for personal offline use when downloads are enabled and the source provides a URL.
Reels are limited to public accounts. Private reels, reels restricted by region or age, and deleted reels are not accessible.
How it works
Three simple visual steps to get started.
Enter a username
Type the public account whose reels you want to watch.
Open the Reels tab
Click Reels on the result page to load the public video grid.
Watch or download
Click a reel to preview it and use Download if available.

What are Instagram Reels?
Reels are Instagram's short-video format. They are usually recorded vertically, can use music or original audio, and often include text overlays and effects. They appear in a dedicated Reels tab and can be shared to the main feed or Stories.
Because reels are public when the account is public, they can be indexed by viewers and search engines. IGScope surfaces them using the same public data sources it uses for posts.
Reels vs. posts
Posts are typically static photos or carousels with a square or 4:5 aspect ratio. Reels are vertical videos designed for immersive, audio-on viewing. The caption style and engagement patterns also differ, with reels often reaching a broader audience through Instagram's recommendation algorithm.
Downloading reels for offline viewing
When a reel is public, IGScope can expose a direct video URL. If downloads are enabled, the file is usually saved as an MP4 with the original audio. Downloaded reels should be kept for personal reference only and not republished without permission.

| Format | Short vertical video | Photos and carousels |

Troubleshooting
Reel will not play
Check that your browser supports the video codec. Some mobile browsers block autoplay; tap the play button explicitly.
No download button appears
Downloads may be disabled globally, or the source provider may not expose a downloadable URL for the reel.
Audio is muted
Reels may be muted by default. Use the volume control in the player, and make sure your device is not on silent.
Reels load slowly
Video files are larger than images. Slow networks or strict firewalls can delay playback. Try a desktop or Wi-Fi connection.
